We were so lucky to have recently found Joy to care for our fur kids, Sophie and Cooper. From the 1st meet and greet we knew our babies were in good hands. The love of dogs/animals is greatly apparent and it is truly a family affair. Sending us photos when we are out of town of our kids being shown so much love by either Joy or her kids, truly takes any worries away when we are away. Also knowing that Sophie’s special needs are well taken care of puts our minds at ease.

Tucker has been going to Joy’s for the past two years. He truly loves his ‘home away from home’. Joy loves Tucker as much as her own dog and welcomes him into her home. We get many updates throughout his stay, including photos of him playing with his dog pals. Tucker is a busy chocolate lab and I was worried to send him away, given he is very high energy. Joy had no issues with him and he fits in great, assuring us along the way that he wasn’t ‘too much’. On top of this, Joy is always very accommodating to our last-minute requests for walks or stays and understands that things come up. Our family feels good knowing Tucker is well looked after in a family home.

My husband Robert and I have trusted in Joy for 10 years to look after our cat Peyton while we are away. Joy takes the time to make Peyton happy, loved and comfortable in our absence. Joy comes to our home to a few times a day to ensure Peyton is fed, has water and clean litter pan. Joy spends time with him brushing him ( which is his favourite thing ) and I know he is happy and looked after & Joy always sends me pictures of him 😁 It is a definite peace of mind knowing he is in great care.

We have been using Joy for our St. Bernard/Poodle, Jessie for years now. We could not think of a better person to take care of her. We have used Joy for daily walking as well as multiple days of boarding. Our girl wags her tail every time we drive up to her house. When Jessie is boarding we know she is well cared for, gets lots of playtime with other dogs and receives a great deal of love. Ella, our toy Aussie, loves Joy and her family. She is always prompt to reply to emails and texts. We feel so comfortable leaving Ella for extended stays as they treat her as if she was one of their own pets. Ella sleeps with Joy or one of the kids and I think she rules the roost. We have always felt that leaving Ella in a home environment with other dogs gives her the best of both worlds. A chance to socialize with other pets and people too! Joy and her family have taken exceptional care of our fur baby, George. He has stayed overnight, spent the weekend and stayed for a week while we were on vacation. My first experience with a dog walker began when Twist was 3 months old and I was working in Toronto – 9 years ago! Puppy “Potty Breaks” evolved into walks in the park. Joy never failed him.. never, ever cancelled and I was so appreciative to not worry about leaving him alone for hours-on-end. Joy’s two younger children often tagged along. They played, invented recall games and cuddled. They taught him a valuable lifelong lesson – that children make wonderful playmates!
Now, after retiring, when I need to be away Joy always finds time to fit him in for a walk. As well, Twist has been boarding with Joy in her home. Her entire family treats him like one of their own. He loves being with her children again – now trustworthy and reliable young adults… “well-trained” dog sitters! He loves all the attention they shower on him and I love that he’s safe and well looked after.
I would recommend Joy, and have, to anyone needing a caring and reliable dog walker.

I would recommend Paws Personal pet Care to take care of your pets. Tara has taken care of our little kitty Nala when we go out of town. She loves Tara who keeps me up to date with amazing pictures. Obi is our three year old Caviler King Charles Spaniel. He is a very social dog; in addition to a walk during the day, he needs some love and attention. I went back to work in June, and Joy was recommended by a friend. Since then, Obi has enjoyed walks with Joy, Aine, Elizabeth, and Shannon. He loves them all (and the treats!), and our family is happier knowing Obi is well cared for when we are away.

Joy is AWESOME!! She just has a way with dogs. My Chip is a rescue and is fearful of people, but warmed up to Joy quickly. She knows how to read him and that makes all the difference. And the pictures she sends while I’m away are soooo nice! I love seeing him playing with the other dogs, and knowing he is being so well cared for let’s me relax and enjoy my time away.
